> How to prepare your resignation letter
When it is time to move on to another organisation or make a transition into a new life experience, it is important to leave your current position on a positive note.  No matter what your work experience, leave gracefully.  Never burn bridges; you may need to interact with this organization or some of the employees in future business endeavors or you may need them as future reference.

STEP 1: Craft an introductory paragraph that states your intent to resign and its effective date.
STEP 2: State your reasons for leaving in a second paragraph, such as relocation, return to school, retirement, or new opportunity.
STEP 3: End your letter on an upbeat note and, if appropriate, indicate your appreciation for support and a statement about your experience with the organization.

Tips on Writing Resignation Letters

Just stick to the facts.

There is no need to apologize.

Bear in mind that a resignation letter is not an opportunity to settle old scores; it is simply a document to confirm your intent to leave the organization.

There is no requirement that you must identify your new employer or explain your future plans.
